Day-Of Coordination FAQs
What does a day-of coordinator actually do?
A day-of coordinator takes over the logistics of your wedding day so you don’t have to think about them. We confirm vendors, manage the timeline, run the rehearsal, cue the ceremony, oversee setup and teardown, and handle anything unexpected — so you can simply enjoy getting married.
When should I book?
As early as you can. Our calendar fills quickly, especially for spring and fall Saturdays, and we take on a limited number of weddings per weekend to give every couple our full attention. Reaching out 9–12 months ahead is ideal, but it is always worth checking availability.
Do you attend the rehearsal?
Yes. We attend and run your ceremony rehearsal, walking through the processional order, positioning, and cues with your wedding party, family members, and officiant so everyone feels confident on the big day.
How is this different from month-of coordination?
Day-of coordination focuses on executing the wedding day itself — the rehearsal, timeline, vendors, and on-site management. Month-of coordination starts earlier (typically 4–6 weeks out) and includes final vendor meetings, timeline creation, and tying up loose ends before the big day. If you have planned most of your wedding yourself but want a professional to run the show, day-of coordination is the fit.
Do you set up/tear down decor?
We oversee and coordinate setup and teardown, directing your vendors and making sure everything is placed according to plan. Please note that coordination is not setup and breakdown labor — hands-on setup and breakdown labor is billed separately.
What areas do you serve?
We’re based in Frederick, Maryland, and coordinate weddings across Maryland, Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. If you’re unsure whether we travel to your venue, just ask — we’re happy to discuss it.
